a Road to Regenerative Medicine
Amniotic Membrane and Fluid Treatment
Amniotic membrane and Fluid contains all of the cells and components necessary for tissue regeneration, this is the tissue that always a fetus to develop fully. The advantage to using this therapy is that there are no ethical issues the tissue is collected at the time of Caesarian section, there are no concerns about tissue modification since this tissue is not manipulated other than to cryopreserve it.
Amniotic Membrane and Fluid Therapy for Foot & Ankle Injuries
Amniotic Membrane and Fluid therapy for feet or ankles may be an ideal non-surgical alternative for those who suffer from pain because of osteoarthritis, and ligament or tendon injuries. Traditional surgeries may require arthroscopy, bone fusion, and tendon grafts screwed into place to hold the joint together. Any of these can be painful and require a long rehabilitation period, which can make the traditionally simple acts of walking or driving a difficult process. Amniotic Membrane and Fluid therapy requires a simple injection of concentrated cells in the injured area, which help the body to heal itself.

This therapy may be appropriate for treating:
- Mild to moderate osteoarthritis
- Tendon inflammation
- Partial Achilles tendon tear
- Muscle strain/sprain
For non healing diabetic wounds, venous stasis wound/ ulcers, vascular insufficency wounds this is the best wound healing supplement available at this time. A recent study of 20 non healing wounds to be published in the journal of foot and ankle surgery, demonstrated that wounds in compromised patients healed on average with in 60 days, when they had not healed at all in the previous 18months.
This therapy is not able to resolve but can accelerate healing in the following:
- Severe ankle osteoarthritis
- Acute fracture
- Complete Achilles tear
